The main thing you should do is make sure your profile is as complete and informative as possible. Other than the basics — your current title, company and location - add an eye-catching headline and summary that highlights your expertise and experience. Articulate your "superpower" - what specific experience or skill puts you in the top 5% of all your peers? Individuals searching theBoardlist often filter their searches by functional and industry expertise as well as what stage companies you’ve expressed interest in, so make sure you complete those fields so your profile appears in relevant searches. We’ve also pulled several tips together in our blog to help you craft the best candidate profile.
If a Searching Member would like to connect with you about a board opportunity, they must put in a request through our team. We will then send you an email with information about the company and board opportunity. If you are interested, we will introduce you to the Searching Member via email.
Please be assured that Searching Members do not have direct access to your contact information via our platform. We will only share your email address if there is mutual interest. To manage the requests that come your way and ensure that they are a match with your board preferences, it helps to specify in your profile the opportunities you are most interested in.
If you would like to discuss a partnership opportunity for #choosepossibility or theBoardlist, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
